Ahi Tuna Salad
Ingredients
For the Ahi Tuna:
2 ahi tuna steaks (6-8 oz each, sushi-grade)
2 Tablespoons Merman’s Revenge® Teriyaki Glaze
1 tablespoon lime juice (or lemon juice)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (black or white, or both)
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Salad:
4 cups mixed greens (arugula, spinach, or your choice of salad greens)
1 avocado, sliced
1 cucumber, thinly sliced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup edamame, cooked and shelled (optional)
1/4 cup radishes, thinly sliced (optional)

Preparation Instructions
Marinate the Tuna:
In a small bowl, mix Merman’s Revenge® Teriyaki Glaze and lime juice.
Season the tuna steaks lightly with salt and pepper, then coat them in the glaze mix. Let the tuna marinate for 10-15 minutes while preparing the salad.
Sear the Tuna:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a little olive oil.
Remove the tuna from the marinade, pat it dry, and sprinkle sesame seeds on both sides.
Sear the tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side. The inside should remain rare for the best texture. Once seared, remove from the pan and let it rest for a minute. Slice the tuna into thin pieces.
Prepare the Salad:
In a large bowl or on individual plates, arrange the mixed greens.
Add avocado slices, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, edamame, and radishes (if using) to the salad.
Assemble the Salad:
Drizzle the Merman’s Revenge® Teriyaki Glaze over the salad.
Top with the sliced seared ahi tuna.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
