Preparation Instructions
Prepare the Shrimp:
Rinse the shrimp and pat them dry. Keep the shells on for extra flavor during cooking. Set aside.
Make the Cajun BBQ Sauce:
In a large skillet or sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the olive oil to prevent the butter from browning too quickly.
Stir in the Cajun seasoning and Cook for about 2 minutes to allow the spices to release their flavors.
Add the Shrimp:
Add the shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat them in the sauce.
Pour in the beer or seafood broth, and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Cook the shrimp for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and fully cooked through. Be careful not to overcook them.
Finish and Serve:
Once the shrimp are done, remove them from heat.
Garnish with chopped green onions and parsley.
Serve the shrimp immediately with the sauce, and plenty of crusty French bread on the side for soaking up the flavorful sauce.
