Preparation Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops:

Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. This helps the seasoning stick and ensures a good sear.

Rub olive oil over each pork chop to help the seasoning adhere and prevent sticking while cooking.

Rub the Merman’s Revenge® Salmon Seasoning mixture generously onto both sides of the pork chops.

Cook the Pork Chops:

You can either grill, pan-sear, or bake the pork chops depending on your preference.

Option 1: Grill

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).

  • Grill the pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Option 2: Pan-Sear

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of olive oil.

  • Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side, until nicely browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C).

  • For extra brightness, drizzle with lemon juice just before serving.

Option 3: Bake

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Sear the pork chops in a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side, then transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

4. Serve:

  • Once the pork chops are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes to retain the juices.

  • Optionally, garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley, dill, or a squeeze of lemon for added freshness.

Side Suggestions:

  • Serve the pork chops with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a light salad to balance the rich, herby flavors.

  • A side of grilled asparagus or a citrus slaw would pair beautifully with the lemony herb seasoning.
