Ingredients:

  • Merman’s Revenge Blackened Seasoning

  • 1 stick of salted butter

  • Olive oil

  • 13 oz of andouille sausage

  • 1 lb of raw shrimp (defrosted, peeled, and deveined)

  • Cheese (shredded)

  • 2 lbs of mashed potatoes

  • Chives

  • 1–2 tbsp of jar garlic

  • Panko bread crumbs

  • Pearl onions

Directions:

1. Grate your cheese.

  • Go for medium shreds for a nice thick cut.

  • Grate as much as you plan to use. If you’re a cheese fiend, you’ll know what to do (grate a ton).

2. Prep your shrimp and sausage.

  • Chop up your sausage and remove the tails from your shrimp.

  • Add your andouille sausage, shrimp, and pearl onions into a mixing bowl.

  • Toss in a bit of olive oil to help your seasoning stick.

  • Add in Merman’s Revenge Blackened Seasoning to taste.

  • Shake it up!

3. Stir fry your shrimp and sausage in a hot pan.

  • Toss everything from the mixing bowl into a hot pan set to medium-high heat.

  • Mix it up, let it sit, then mix it again.

  • Cook until the shrimp is pink and opaque (about 5 minutes).

  • Pull it off of the heat and let it cool.

4. Get chopping.

  • Chop your chives finely.

  • Chop your shrimp, sausage, and onion mix.

5. Build your bowl.

  • Start with a layer of mashed potatoes.

  • Add in 1–2 tbsps of your jar garlic (as much as you prefer).

  • Add your shrimp, sausage, and onion mix.

  • Add your grated cheese.

  • Stir it together, then dump it in an oven-safe dish and top it with more cheese.

  • Finally add a layer of your panko bread crumbs.

6. Bake, then garnish.

  • In an oven preheated to 350 °F (177 °C), bake your mashed potato bowl until it’s golden and bubbly (about 10 minutes).

  • Carefully remove the hot dish from the oven.

  • Finish with a sprinkle of your diced chives on top.

7. Enjoy!
