Great at Thanksgiving, great all the time. Give this recipe a try!
Ingredients:
2 pounds potatoes of choice
4 tablespoons butter (plus more for serving)
1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for lighter texture)
1/4 cup sour cream
1 ounce cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon chopped green onions or parsley, for garnish
1.5 tablespoons Merman’s Revenge Cajun Style Seasoning (more to taste)
Directions:
1. Prepare the potatoes.
Clean your potatoes. Peel them if you prefer them peeled, then chop them into equal size pieces.
Bring water to a boil in a large pot.
Once your water is boiling, add your potatoes and a pinch of salt.
Cook until fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes. Drain thoroughly.
2. Mash the potatoes.
Return the potatoes to the warm pot to help steam off extra moisture.
Add butter, cream cheese, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. Mash until smooth and creamy.
3. Season and mix.
Stir in Merman’s Revenge Cajun Style Seasoning and then slowly pour in heavy cream, stirring until the potatoes are fluffy and smooth.
4. Taste and adjust.
Add a little more Merman’s Revenge Cajun Style Seasoning to your liking.
For a silkier mash, stir in another splash of cream or melted butter.
5. Finish and serve.
Transfer to a serving bowl.
Top with a drizzle of melted butter, a sprinkle of Merman’s Revenge Cajun Style Seasoning, and garnish with green onions or parsley.
Serve warm.
6. Enjoy!
