1. Salmon and Cream Cheese Dip
This one is kind of a classic, but sometimes people forget that the elements that make a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel life changing can also be turned into a dip.
Salmon season is from summer to December. And cream cheese season? Well, that’s all the time. So consider combining these two soulmate ingredients with some of our Salmon Seasoning, mayo, lemon juice, and capers to create the ultimate cracker topping.
2. Pumpkin Crab Dip
Guess what? We’ve already made this one for you with our Cajun Style Seasoning. You can check out the recipe here.
The nice secret to this one is that it doesn’t actually have to use pumpkin. Can you add pumpkin to it? Absolutely. Pumpkin’s mild flavor means it can sneak its way into many different dishes, as what it really adds is a nice fluffy, creamy texture that’s hard to imitate.
When choosing your crab meat, keep in mind that stone crabs, blue crabs, king crabs, and snow crabs are best harvested in fall. And pumpkins, of course, are in season around this time of year as well. If your decor pumpkin is looking a little sad on your counter and you don’t feel like carving a face into it, consider turning it into a festive bowl for your crab dip.
3. Lemon Pepper Shrimp Scampi Dip
Have you ever thought, What if shrimp scampi came with bread instead of pasta? No? What about now that we brought it up?
The gist is simple: the flavors of shrimp scampi are a delight but sometimes you aren’t in the mood for a full meal with heavy pasta. That’s where Shrimp Scampi Dip comes in. And we have the recipe for it. It uses our yummy Lemon Pepper Seasoning, and we promise that it’ll make you never think of shrimp scampi the same again.
Shrimp season runs from March through December, so there’s never been a better time to try it!
4. Cajun Spinach Dip
Spinach dip might be one of the most classic dips of all time. So let’s get creative with it. What if it had a little Cajun-inspired kick to it?
Follow your favorite spinach dip recipe and toss in some of our Cajun Style Seasoning (and a few spoonfuls of our spicy Cajun Style Hot Sauce, if you’re feeling adventurous) to take things to the next level.
Consider going even further and adding some shrimp and crab to it for a seafood twist! You won’t be the first to try it—and you won’t be the last either.
5. Yogurt Beet Dip
Autumn is beet season, and this unique dip will come with a pop of color so beautiful that you might even draw attention away from the big game. The Greek yogurt and beets combo goes great with pita and can be taken to the next level with a bit of salt, garlic, and our Lemon Pepper Seasoning.
Don’t knock it ’til you try it. This beautiful magenta combo will not only appeal to the vegetarians in your life, but to anyone who is looking for a unique culinary experience. Unless, of course, they’re from the countries of origin where this dip can be found. (Trivia moment: Can you guess which countries? Let us know your guesses on our social media!)
6. Honey Habanero Lobster Dip
Who can say no to lobster? Maine lobster is best between June and December, but in other states, like Florida, their peak has a larger range—from August to March. So now’s your excuse to make a delicious lobster dip that comes with a sweet veggie twist.
Lobster dip typically comes with the usual suspects of cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, and any other preferred cheeses you think will take it to the next level, but we recommend you add a hefty dollop of our Honey Habanero Glaze to really round out the flavor. Our Salmon Seasoning would also do wonders in a dip like this, which classically includes the herbs we already have included in our Salmon Seasoning.
Keep in mind that our Honey Habanero Glaze is extremely mild, so you don’t have to worry about it getting too spicy. More than anything, it’ll bring in that delicious honey flavor with an added blend of veggies to back it up.
